The Age of the Product Placements

I’ve read about the increased amount of product placements in current days episodes and it looks like the Swedish ones are about to catch up.

Last week the girls were delivering line after line of praise to a pill for cramps. It was ridiculously unsubtle.

What’s Behind Elevator Door Number One… And Two?

4th of July is Nicole’s lucky date! Finally she gets a moment alone with the man of her dreams when she and EJ gets stuck in an elevator during the big black out. Lucas who broke his house arrest got equally lucky in the neighboring elevator. When they got out of the elevator Sami was standing there shaming them.

The only thing that could have made Nicole happier in that moment would have been if she had walked through those elevator door a married woman just like she dreamed but sadly there were no minister in there with them so that dream will have to wait.

All Sami has now is two men who has both gotten tired of her unwillingness to make up her mind about them.

The Anniversary of Willow at the Beach

It’s been a year since Willow fell and hit her head at Salem Beach…

Annie’s career has since Days been going slowly and her parts have been small and few. For me Annie is a good actress and an especially good fit in teen slashers (even if she is 28 years old).

Since she quit Days she has had two parts in feature films, one being the hard to get hold of, partly critically acclaimed indie film Follow the Prophet and the other being The Anniversary at Shallow Creek, a poorly received thrill kill movie.

Annie has a recognizable face with those big shiny lips and she is just as pretty in her new red hair.

Unfortunately, her contribution is small and soon out of the way. If this was Scream she would have been Drew Barrymore. In other words, she dies early and enacts an example of what the others might have ahead of them. She does have enough time to jump around in her underwear and to see her boyfriend get shot in the head by a sniper though.

In this trailer for the movie you can see most of Annie’s scenes:

Friday the 13th

I will continue my Friday the 13th series of Friday the 13th movies starring Days actors. We saw Renée Brooks (Lexie) getting decapitated in the sixth, Kevin Spirtas was the hero in number seven and played opposite Staci Greason (Isabella) and in the final chapter (AKA not the final chapter) the twins Camilla and Carey More played unlucky twins.

In part III, a Days actor is the heroine who makes it all the way to the end but loses her sanity somewhere on the way. Dana Kimmel played Diane Parker in 1983-84. Diane was a prostitute who was paid by Larry Welsh to date Bo so that Larry could keep Hope.

In the picture below you see Dana Kimmel opposite another Days actress – Catherine Parks who played Mitzi Rummley in 1982.

Friday the 13th part 3 was released as a 3D movie and maybe that’s why little emphasis was put in the story because I find this one to be one of the more weak parts.

Chez Vert

It’s all going green! The trend has snow balled ever since Lumi’s green wedding. Chez Rouge should from now on be Chez Vert and the Brady Pub is finally living up to its Irish descent! Maggie is done with her greenifying and the Bradys have just started, both at home and at the pub.

Maggie is hosting a party for her nephew who just received a grant for his green fuel project and everybody are so proud of him! Except for Max who is bitter and angry. My suspicion is that he doesn’t want to pursue a career in physics because maybe his father was a physician and he needs to prove that he can just be a regular worker like his adoptive pop.

The hospital is also going green, just like that hospital in Sweden that I (who am a Swede) hasn’t heard of. Good for them!
